There are some pretty amazing women in Charleston, South Carolina. I am constantly amazed by the pure talent that comes from these local artists.
Charleston Stems hosted the most beautiful pop up shop. Along with bouquets and bouquets of bright and cheery flowers there were paintings by Blakely Little, Teil Duncan, Lulie Wallace, and Raven Roxanne. Stem’s building is the most perfect blank canvas for this kind of pop up. What were once blank white walls were now platforms for colorful works of art.
I am proud to say that the painting in the bottom photo is now hanging on my wall. I purchased my first piece of art and it felt amazing! Thank you Blakely for creating such beautiful work and helping me decide on this one.

Valentine’s day is almost here.
I am not normally a pink and froofy person but valentines is definitely an exception. A week full of love notes is a great one in my book. Leaving sweet notes around my house for my roommates to find is my favorite. The art of letter writing is slowly disappearing and we need to bring it back!
Mac & Murphy on Cannon street is stocked with Valentine’s Day cards including the four in the photo above. The flowers are from Sara York Grimshaw Designs and the bouquet in the photo is probably one of the most beautiful bouquets I have ever seen. More photos of the SYG designs shop and creations will be up a little later.
Bring someone in your life some love today.
